Your email, kept for one reason.
When you join the Mac test, we keep your email address so we can tell you when Compass is ready to try. That’s all we use it for.
Who keeps it
Compass is made by Kaisark Innovations Ltd. We decide how your email is used and we’re responsible for it. Write to us at hello@joincompass.app.
What we keep
- The email address you type in.
- The date you joined, and which of the page’s two forms you used.
- To stop robots flooding the list, a scrambled code made from your internet address. It can’t be turned back into the address, and it’s deleted after a day.
We don’t use cookies, tracking or advertising on this site.
Why
Only to email you about the Compass Mac test: when it’s ready, and how to take part. No newsletters. We never sell or share your email. We keep it because you asked us to by joining, and you can change your mind at any time.
Where it’s kept
In a private database run by Neon, on servers in London. The website is run by Vercel. Both handle it only on our behalf. The website itself can add an email to the list but can’t read the list back.
How long
Until the Mac test ends, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first.
Your choices
You can ask to see your email on the list, correct it, or delete it, and you can stop hearing from us at any time. Email hello@joincompass.app and we’ll do it. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
